Erickson recognized the vital importance of changing the client’s relationships within their social contexts. Frequently, he included the client’s family, friends and others to make therapy briefer with more permanent positive outcomes. Case analogies will be given and videotape examples from actual session demonstrate the Strategic Family Therapy approach.
