2G and 2G Plus N-Back Training – Beyond Dual N-Back

Extensive scientific studies repeatedly show most online brain training games do not work beyond practice effects that arespecific to the game.

i3 Mindware builds on the only type of brain training with scientific credibility – working memory training such as the dual n-back. No other training method has scientifically demonstrated IQ gains. i3 Mindware’s 2G game uses traditional squares and letter/number audio. Its 2G Plus game is a non-categorical n-back. 3D ‘spherical harmonics’ shapes are generated randomly and the n-back task involves both working memory executive functions (e.g. updating and inhibiting information) but also learning new categories. This prevents the problem of ‘chunking‘ in the n-back task, and may have benefits for language learning.
