Jonathan Mitchem – Screening for Colorectal Cancer: No ifs, and, or butts!

Learning Objectives:
•    Understand the different methods for colorectal cancer screening, relative positives and negatives, and current recommendations.
•    Determine when to start colorectal cancer screening.
•    Recognize high-risk factors and when to refer the patient for specialty surveillance.
•    Understand the basics of follow-up screening and surveillance after initial colonoscopy.
•    Understand the increase in early-onset colorectal cancer and recognize potential alarm systems.

The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
