Karen Snider, John J. Grider – Osteopathic Approach to Pneumonia

Learning objectives for this activity: 
1. Define pneumonia and discuss current diagnostic criteria
2. Explain the pathophysiology including the etiology, epidemiology, and risk factors of pneumonia
3. Discuss the clinical manifestations and the physical examination findings of pneumonia
4. Describe and administer the osteopathic manipulative treatment approach to the management of the pneumonia patient and discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques
